The firm began operations in 1975 with a single location in the city's central market in Souq Murshid , primarily serving the retail industry. Today, the firm has grown to six showrooms, providing to the retail and wholesale trade in the local market as well as the international market, which includes Iran, the CIS and East Europe, Africa, the GCC, India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. Under the leadership of Mr Kishan Chandnani ( chairman ) & Mr Girish Chandnani ( CEO ) The firm has grown significantly year over year and keep striving for new products and new markets

The firm mostly sells technological items and household appliances. The firm has been able to effectively position itself in the competitive market under the leadership of the partners by creating its own registered brand of electronic products and home appliances under the name of NOVA. These items are made and imported from the Far East, and they are sold all over the world.

With over 540 goods, the product line includes LCD Television, Audio Systems, DVD/VCD Players, Car Audio & Speaker, Telephones, Home & Kitchen Appliances such as mixers, grinders, vacuum cleaners, gas tables, heaters, Air Conditioners, Washing Machines, and Refrigerators. NOVA is widely available on all seven continents.

In 1975, Badri Electro Supply and Trading Company ("BESTCO") began operations in Dubai, United Arab Emirates to create and market a brand called NOVA.
